1975 Z1-B (CANDY SUPER BLUE) 1975 Z1B 900



Fully restored 1975 KawasakiI Z1-B, by David Marsden (Z-Power) finished in the best colour, Candy Blue. Built from the ground up with a full nut and bolt restoration, it looks as new and no expense was spared. The bike has done less than 500miles since restoration, still in immaculate condition. The bike is registered in the UK, on a “N” reg and of a bike this age does not need an MOT or tax.



The Frame:
The bike was originally stripped back with all parts having been powder coated, fork lowers cleaned and polished, rear hub cleaned and polished. New taper roller head bearings have been fitted and new swing arm sleeves and bushes. New fork chrome inner tubes along with new seals. For all panels and tank the Candy Blue is matched from the original Doremi kit. All fasteners have been replaced with either new or re-zinced. As many as possible are period correct. All new control cables.



The Engine:
The engine has been cleaned and polished by Steve Smethurst and rebuilt by Dave Marsden using all new parts, bearing, valves, rubbers, gaskets and seals, cam chain and all tensioners etc .The valve seats have been re-cut and the guides checked and sleeved as required. The cylinders have been bored to 1 oversize using new pistons and rings. The carbs have been rebuilt and cleaned/polished by Steve Smethurst



The Electronics & controls:
All the electrics (wiring/switches/lights/coils/ignition) are new and a combined regulator/rectifier, new stator and battery fitted. The clocks are the original, restored by the legendary Al Marshall, showing the donor bike's original mileage of 6500 miles. All UK type switch gear, seat, fenders, metal plug caps,fork chrome reflectors, rear shocks etc.



The Mechanics:
New lock set with 2 all matching keys. The STD air box is fitted. The exhaust is the new 4-4 now made in Japan by the company who made the originals. The wheel rims are Takasago and correctly date stamped, rebuilt with Zinc plated butted spokes with the correct “gold” nipples. New wheel bearings front and rear.
Braking:
As with a motorcycle this precious it’s fitted with a double disc front brake conversion kit, new rear drum, steering damper and the small frame strengthening kit. All front brake parts are new. New rear brake shoes and new o`ring chain and std size sprockets. New Original type Dunlop tyres are also fitted. All warning decals fitted.



Aesthetics:
Matching all aspects of the UK spec bike which includes the very rare re-chromed long rear fender/mudguard, new genuine front fender. UK tail light bracket and genuine indicator lenses. Included is the owner’s handbook and full toolkit.
